bias wrecker

/ˈbaɪ.əs ˈrɛk.ər/ Beginner Updated

A bias wrecker is the member of a K-pop group who keeps tempting you away from your bias. Your bias is your favorite; your bias wrecker is the one who makes you question that choice.

What does bias wrecker mean?

You have a favorite member, you are loyal, and then another member does one great dance break, one funny variety-show moment or one devastating selca, and suddenly your feelings are in chaos. That second member is “wrecking” your bias. It is playful drama, not a real betrayal, and almost every fan has one.

Sometimes a bias wrecker wins and becomes your new bias. Fans call that getting “bias wrecked.”

How to use it

  • “The new member is wrecking my bias list and I’m not okay.”
  • “Every comeback, a different member becomes my bias wrecker.”
